Gala Opening Day – the Club held a Gala Opening Day on Weds 16th November. 42 players in 3WT Teams competed in 2 Leagues with the winners of each playing a 7 end Final. Eventual winners were the Team of Rab Caw, Derek Mayes and George Bain.
Runners up Graham Botfield, Ken Barker, and Len Warwick.
‘You are the Weakest Rink’ Coasters were presented to John Morse, Chris McLeoud and Ben from the Avenida Club.
The Gala Day Trophy and Prizes were presented by ‘Freddy’ of El Mirador.
A Paella or Chicken Lunch was taken midway through the Day, provided by the El Mirador Team of Freddy, Marriane, and Melanie.
The next ‘Inter Club Event’ is the ‘Ladies Singles’ Competition on Tuesday 13th December. Entry Form on the Club Notice Board just waiting for you Ladies to enter.
An Evening Floodlit ‘Christmas Bowls Drive’ and Buffet is also being planned for Wednesday 14th December. Possible Start time 6.30pm.
